We’re quite aware you have many options when it comes to choosing a wealth management firm to help you achieve your financial goals. For that reason, we believe it’s important to be able to clearly communicate our value proposition — so you understand the WorthPointe difference.
The value we offer clients is succinctly noted in our mission statement:
WorthPointe believes collaborative financial planning has the power to change people’s lives for the better by supporting their dreams with practical wisdom and efficient, disciplined implementation. We help change people’s lives through a personal relationship with a qualified fiduciary advisor who implements our extraordinary 5-step wealth management process. Through this process, we help folks protect and build assets, and for some, forge a legacy for their families with charitable strategies.
We proudly stand behind those words — but if they sound too much like “marketing-speak” to you, or you feel the message is too generic, we invite you to review the seven concrete components that make up our value proposition.
- We work toward ensuring you achieve your life vision. Your goals and dreams are unique; your financial plan should be one-of-a-kind as well. We start every engagement with a Discovery Meeting that consists of much more than an overview of your assets. We ask you to visualize where you want to be — what your ideal future looks like — and then we work backwards to recommend a course of action to get you there.
- We prepare a comprehensive financial plan for you. While an important part of our job is preventing common investing mistakes by putting things in context, we also ensure all areas of risk in your life are covered, such as insurance — so no surprises cause you to get off track as you work toward achieving your financial goals. You’ll get a WorthPointe Freedom Score that quantifies the probability of success that you’ll reach those goals. The higher your score, the more you can relax — which eliminates kneejerk decisions and hitting the panic button at every market shift.
-
We’ll always be accessible to you. Your CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) professional will serve as your go-to person when you have questions or concerns — or you need to adjust your plan. In his or her absence — due to vacation or illness — our team springs into action to provide seamless service to you, so you’re never left in the lurch. You’ll also meet with your advisor on a regular schedule determined by what works best for you.
-
We serve as your accountability coach. Since we have access to your entire financial picture, we’ll constantly review your progress toward your goals — and let you know if you’re off track in any area. We’ll help you prioritize your expenditures within the plan we’ve created and keep you accountable by reminding you of the big picture and what you’re working so hard to achieve.
-
We provide you with state-of-the-art digital technology. Your online dashboard — WorthPointe 360 — gives you access to all your financial accounts under one digital roof. Any account that has a username and password should be in your dashboard — everything from real estate loans and credit card accounts to life insurance and 401(k)s not managed by WorthPointe. Being able to see your comprehensive financial picture provides a true indication of your net worth, allows you to identify strategic and non-strategic debt, and supports your ability to develop an advantageous tax strategy.
-
We provide unbiased advice. As fee-only CFP®s, we’re legally obligated to put your interests ahead of our own, which means we’ll never recommend products because we are paid commissions to do so. You pay one fee that covers our advice on anything related to your ability to live the life you want by achieving your financial goals. It’s important to note we’ve always done business this way — we’re agnostic when it comes to investment products and merely interested in what will work best for your specific situation.
We serve as your financial quarterback. We know you have relationships with other professionals whose counsel will affect your financial plan — so we think it’s important to work with these people to ensure they’re acting in your best interest and in accordance with our plan. We’ll communicate with your other advisors as necessary and can even attend meetings with your insurance professional, CPA, attorney or any other member of your financial team, as you deem appropriate.
If this value proposition resonates with you, maybe it’s time to consider working with a WorthPointe advisor to ensure you’re on a path toward achieving your financial goals and living the life you’ve always dreamed about. It all starts with a simple phone call.
